Working Groups of the ESAO
Purpose
The purpose is to connect efficiently researchers working on specific topics and to make their research more effective. Participating in scientific activities of the society including participation in scientific programms of anual ESAO congress, organisation of own meetings and sessions.
Structure
Email communication with a central mail distribution list controlled by a chairman.
Chairman and executive
- Eligibility: ESAO member, appointed by a governor or by the president.
- Tasks: keeping a record of the researchers containing
- name
- postal address
- e-mail address
- affiliation
- position
- expertise
- sending of news to the members
- organizing meetings at the yearly ESAO conference
Member
- Eligibility: anyone contributing to the topic
- Tasks:
- keeping the chairman informed on anything he likes the community to know, such as: publications relevant conferences and workshops open positions researchers seeking an employment students looking for a thesis topic thesis topic open for a student funding news experience with specifics, i.e. new materials, drugs, regulations etc recent advances.
The ESAO Workings Groups are designed to work without funding, however, if a source to obtain funds for meetings or other needs can be found, it should be tapped. They have their own accounts within the main ESAO-account. They are commited to obtain funds and sponsorship. In case of making project by the organisation of meetings etc. this goes in the account of the working group.
